London: Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said the club will not buy any more players during the current transfer window after a deal for young Chilean striker Angelo Henriquez is finalised in the next few days.
United had earlier confirmed the signing of full-back Alexander Buttner from Vitesse Arnhem, as the Dutchman became the fourth new arrival this summer at Old Trafford following the signings of midfielders Nick Powell and Shinji Kagawa and centre-forward Robin van Persie.
United also announced this week that teenage striker Henriquez is to join them from Universidad de Chile having been granted a work permit, and Ferguson said that the transfer window has ended for United.
“We definitely won``t be buying anyone else, that is for sure,” The Telegraph quoted Ferguson, as saying.
The likes of striker Dimitar Berbatov and winger Luis Nani have been linked with moves away from Old Trafford, but Ferguson denied any such movement.
Ferguson said: “There is no movement I can tell you about, to be honest with you. There are only a few days left now until the deadline and that will pass quite quickly I would imagine.”
