From criticism to unconditional love: Argentine fans urge Lionel Messi not to quit
From criticizing Lionel Messi for his failure to earn a major title in Argentine shirt, fans have swiftly changed their perspective and want their captain to continue playing for the Seleccion.
Argentina President, Mauricio Macri too came out on Tuesday to voice his intent, "Lionel Messi was 'God's gift' to the country and it should 'take care of him.'
Football legend, Diego Maradona also expressed his desire, wanting Messi not to quit International Football and play at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The Barcelona forward has also received tremendous support and love from social media platforms, where sports personnel, actors, artists, politicians are urging the superstar to return.
