New Delhi: The international friendly football match between Germany and Holland that was supposed to be played at Hannover has been canceled after a security alert.
According to a report in the Associated Press, it has been confirmed that Tuesday's friendly has been canceled and the stadium is being evacuated. Reports claim that a suspicious suitcase was discovered.
Reports in Sky Sports, states that an increased number of armed German federal police have also guarded the main train station and airport of Hannover in order to increase safety.
Meanwhile, the game between England and France at Wembley is going ahead with fans hoping to be united and cheer for the visiting side in wake of terrorist attacks in Paris last week.
