When the coach of the most successful club in recent times announces his departure from the club he is bound to be engulfed by the speculations of ‘where to next’ and in Josep Guardiola’s case, the first club to jump into the Bandwagon is Chelsea.
According to a newspaper Chelsea representatives will be meeting with Pep to discuss further on the matter. In fact, speculations have been ripe that Cheslea boss Roman Abramovich has been in talks with Josep Guardiola for past several months to persuade the Spainard to become the manager at Stanford Bridge.
It is also learnt that, Abramovich is willing to give total control of how to run the club.
Abramovich has always been gunning for Pep as Chelsea coach and after sacking Andre Villas-Boas last month, appointment of Roberto Di Matteo on short term contract hinted that the Russian is hell bent to get the Spaniard on board.
Josep Guardiola on the other hand, if sources are to be believed wants to take a break from the game and as quoted by a newspaper Guardiola said in a press conference to announce he was leaving at the end of this season, "I`m not interested in coaching now, There are more things than football," he said. "I will rest and maybe one day I will say, now let`s train. Maybe not. Let`s see where life takes me. My desire is to do other things. I have nothing left and need to recharge my batteries. I have to recover and the only way I can do that is by distancing myself."
