New Delhi: Hindustan FC started its Delhi Senior Division League campaign with a goalless draw against Youngmen FC at the CWG Sports Complex here on Wednesday.
Hindustan FC had a chance to go ahead as early as the second minute, only to be denied by a full-stretched Youngmen FC goalkeeper. The former champions continued to dominate and unleashed a flurry of attacks. Nigerian recruit O.O. Sola`s solo effort from just outside the box kissed the woodwork in the eighth minute before Mehra`s stinging shot went straight to the keeper. Youngmen had a golden chance to go ahead but Hindustan FC goalkeeper, Rajat Guha came into action to deny the opposition a one on one chance. It was the same story in the second half as Hindustan FC did most of the attacking. Former Mohun Bagan skipper Rishi Kapoor`s left footed shot from 30 yards out narrowly missed the target. Hindustan FC next play Punjab Heroes Tuesday.
