London: Charismatic striker Thierry Henry has made it clear that he has no intentions to play hero at Arsenal and is just happy to help.
“I didn’t plan a comeback. I am not here to be a hero. I am here to be another player, to help the squad and that is being honest.” The Telegraph quoted Henry as saying.
Henry who is on a loan spell with Arsenal from New York Red Bulls made a stunning return to his old club on Monday when he scored the winning goal against Leeds United.
His exploits prompted jubilant reactions from all around enhancing his cult figure among the fans.
The fairytale return has overwhelmed Henry as well who has described it as a dream come true.
“Scoring a winner for the club that I love, I am actually dreaming right now,” he said after netting his winner against Leeds in FA cup.
“It was almost unreal. It happened so fast. I hope I won’t wake up and someone tells me that it was a dream.” he added.
However, the return of Robin van Persie has opened up the mouth watering prospect of the two teaming up together even though coach Arsene Wenger isn’t clear about how to utilize them.
