ISL's Chennai franchise in talks with Ronaldinho

New Delhi: Two-time World Player of the Year, Ronaldinho is in talks with Chennai Titans to complete a move and be part of the Indian Super League (ISL).
It is believed that the brother and agent of the Brazilian, Roberto de Assis has been negotiating terms of the contract with the Chennai team for a two-year deal.
Ronaldinho is considered one of the legends of the game and he was the prime reason to help Barcelona return as a force in European football. The 34-year-old has 33 goals in 97 appearances for Brazil.
The ISL seems to be attracting some of the biggest names in world football. It was revealed on Friday that Delhi Dynamos had recruited Italy legend, Alessandro Del Piero.
Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan has picked a stake in Team Chennai in the Indian Super League (ISL). After investing in the Pro Kabaddi League as owner of the Jaipur Pink Panthers, this is Bachchan's second foray into the sports league market in India.
The news was made public during the official launch of the ISL on Thursday. Team Chennai will function in partnership with Play on Skill, with whom Serie A side Inter Milan have a technical collaboration.
The ISL will kick-off in October. IMG Reliance are organizing the corporate backed league. At the launch event, All India Football Federation president and former Union minister Praful Patel; Pawan Munjal, vice-chairman and managing director of Hero MotoCorp (title sponsors for the League); Nita Ambani who heads IMG Reliance; and, Sanjay Gupta, chief operating officer of Star India were all present.
Owners of the ISL franchises include Sourav Ganguly (Kolkata team) and Sachin Tendulkar (Kochi team) along with Bollywood celebrities John Abraham (North East United), Ranbir Kapoor (Mumbai City) and Salman Khan (Pune City).
Some of India's biggest business houses like Videocon (Goa) and Den Networks (Delhi) also are part of this league.
