Juventus coach Conte`s ban reduced to four months

Rome: Juventus head coach Antonio Conte has had his ban slashed from ten months to four and will return to the touchline Dec 9.

Conte was suspended from match-day duties after he was found guilty of failing to report an alleged attempt to fix a game which he was in charge at Siena, as reported by a news agency.

Conte`s lawyers took their case to Italy`s National Court of Arbitration for Sport in a bid to be acquitted of the charge, but they were only able to get a reduction in his punishment.

The former midfielder`s ban will now expire Dec 8, which means he will be able to return to the bench for the Dec 9 tie against Palermo in the Italian Serie A.
