Kenny Dalglish advises Liverpool's critics to take "intelligence check"

London: Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has hit back at his side’s critics saying that they need an intelligence check.

Reacting to mounting criticism over their inconsistent Premier League run, Dalglish said his team should not be judged citing League performance as a yardstick.

"I think people should take an intelligence check. It`s not true that you should only look at the league table," he was quoted as saying by The Telegraph.

Pointing to Liverpool’s Carling Cup triumph last month, he opined that Liverpool have had a good season and people should look at the big picture.

"Some people will look at that but there`s a bigger picture than that. There are two other competitions which people say are treated with disrespect.”

"Judging by league positions is also disrespectful. For us, all we have said is we want to move the club forward,” he said.
