Shillong: North East`s only club in the prestigious I-League, Shillong Lajong FC (Lajong) is eyeing to continue with their "undefeated-at-home" streak when they take on Chirag United on Thursday at JN Stadium in Guwahati.
Staging a comeback after being humiliation when they were drubbed 6-0 by Churchill and 5-0 by Dempo, Lajong vowed to keep their fans at home happy by not conceding defeat this time too.
Though, the Shillong side managed to keep themselves at a 10th place in the table with 13 points from 11 matches, what Pradyum Reddy?s boys are desperately wanting for, is a clean win to put them back on track.
With team top scorers Malima (3) in the attack along with Christopher in the pack, Lajong still looks strong even without Tuboi and Giblee.
However, the Shillong side will be banking on their `home` advantage.
The Shillong side had held Mohan Bagan in a goalless draw in an encounter at Imphal followed by a draw with Prayag United.
They also held Air India and HAL at Imphal and Pune FC in Pune.
The two teams are separated by a five point difference.
"We have watched their game. They are good no doubt and experienced too, but our players are capable enough to give them a run for their money and can deliver what is expected from them," Reddy said.
