London: Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has said that his rapport with manager Villas-Boas is not ideal these days and there have been certain problems between them, mostly related to certain players being left on the bench.
“I think you can probably see that it`s not been ideal. There have been certain issues. Certain players, we don`t like not to play,” The Sun quoted Lampard as saying. Lampard said he wants his club to perform well and even if he sits on the bench he wants Chelsea to win.
“I`m sure we`re all frustrated at the minute. Everyone who`s involved, especially people who have got Chelsea in their hearts, who have been here a long time and want to see us performing as we should do,” he said. “It doesn`t mean I want to play every game and, if I sit on the bench, I want to see Chelsea win. It`s never a case of players throwing their toys out of the pram to the detriment of the club,” he added.
Lampard scored his 150th goal for Chelsea in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Bolton, after strikes from David Luiz and Didier Drogba eased the pressure on Villas-Boas.
