New Delhi: Luis Enrique on Friday said that there is no secret recipe for the success of Lionel Messi, instead the recipe is the player himself. Messi, who has scored 10 goals in the last 10 matches, including two hat-tricks received unrivaled praise from the Barcelona manager.
Enrique, who is helping the Catalan giants in pursuit of a treble, went on to say that Messi would still be unstoppable if he put the Argentine as a full back.
“If a player like Messi is on top form, it doesn't matter where you put him... you could put him as a full-back and he'd still be unstoppable. He doesn't have a secret recipe, the secret is inside him," the manager was quoted as saying by Spanish newspaper Marca.
On Sunday, Messi broke the Spanish hat-trick record in a 6-1 hammering of Rayo Vallecano. With the win, Barcelona also returned as the league leaders for the first time since November last year.
It was his 24th hat-trick in La Liga and 32nd overall in Spain. His great rival, Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo has 27.
After starting the season rather slowly by his standards, Messi caught up with run-away leader in top-scorer Ronaldo, and after the end of 26th round, both the superstars have 30 goals each.
