Man City to give coach Mancini whopping £22million contract

London: In anticipation of winning the English Premier league after 44 years, Manchester City want to celebrate by handing club coach Roberto Mancini a whopping new 22 million pound contract.

According to The Sun, Mancini’s four-year deal will make him Britain’s joint highest paid football coach, alongside Manchester United’s Alex Ferguson.

City plan to offer Mancini a two million pound -a-year pay rise — taking his salary to£5.5 million pounds a year, even if they fail to win the title.

Manchester City is more than eager to retain Italian Mancini after he masterminded the club’s amazing fight back from eight points down to overhaul neighbours United.

The two clubs stand level on points but City’s goal difference is eight better. And they can clinch their first title in 44 years with victory over Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.
