London: Manchester United has lined up a 15 million pound worth deal for PSV Eindhoven’s midfielder Kevin Strootman, and sources from within the club reveal the deal is close to completion.
Strootman has earned terrific reviews while playing for the club and country, and has appeared in ten of Holland’s last 11 games.
His good form for Netherlands has cost Manchester City’s Nigel De Jong a place in the squad, a daily reports.
United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is reviewing his summer transfer targets, and it is a known fact that he likes to sign players early during summer transfer window.
United scouts have checked out Strootman 12 times in recent weeks. Ruud van Nistelrooy and Jaap Stam both arrived at Old Trafford in major deals from PSV.
