London: Manchester United midfielder Rio Ferdinand has said his team has the required experience to win their 20th league title this season, but admitted that cross road rivals Manchester City has the required hunger to also win this season.
Ferdinand stressed his team needs to maintain calm since they know how to take maximum points at this stage of the title race.
“It happens every year and at this stage of the season we know what it takes and we`ve got comfort in the knowledge we can create chances and remain calm,” The Sun quoted Ferdinand, as saying.
“You`ve got to hold your nerve but as important as that, if not more so, is trusting each other. United have the experience, City have the hunger,” he added.
United almost threw away two points on Monday before finally beating Fulham 1-0 to move three points clear of rivals City at the top.
