Manchester City targeting Robin Van Persie to replace Tevez

London: Manchester City have reportedly made Arsenal striker Robin van Persie their top target for next season.

According to the Daily Mirror, City believe that Arsenal are vulnerable to a big-money approach for Van Persie following a break down in talks over a new contract.

Van Persie has just 18 months left on his current deal and is becoming increasingly concerned that manager Arsene Wenger could be leaving the Emirates at the end of the season.

It is believed that City want Van Persie to replace Carlos Tevez and are prepared to offer him a 200,000 pounds-a-week deal.
