Manchester United make two approaches to sign Lionel Messi under new boss Jose Mourinho: Report

New Delhi: New Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is already feeling the heat as he doesn't seem to believe that the current squad at the club possesses top four quality.

In a desperate move, as reported by the Daily Mail, the former Chelsea boss is trying to sign superstar Lionel Messi. The report suggested that Mourinho has made two approaches for the FC Barcelona forward in the past three weeks.

Any move for the Argentine will need Manchester United to break the bank, as he is likely to cost more than the world record transfer fee for Gareth Bale paid by Real Madrid.

Some other reports suggest, that Lionel Messi is looking to move away from Barcelona as he is tired of the publicly covered tax-fraud allegations against him and his father Jorge Messi.

With the Barcelona star coming up with the most delicate of defenses, he simply stated that “I signed what he told me to sign,” while also quoting “He is my father and it obviously never crossed my mind that he would fool me or disappoint me.” The player added: “The lawyers told us to do it that way.”

Well looks like there is some trouble in paradise.
