Mohun Bagan trounce ONGC in I-League

Kolhapur: Edeh Chidi scored a brace as Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan trounced hosts ONGC 3-1 in the

round 10 I-League match here on Tuesday. Ishfaq Ahmed opened the tally for the visitors in the 32nd minute. Two minutes later Chidi doubled the lead for the hosts. N D Opara converted a penalty strike in the 43rd minute for ONGC as the teams went into the break with the score at 2-1 in favour of the visitors. However, Opara`s strike in the 89th minute completely dashed any hopes the hosts might have had of saving the match and rounded of Bagan`s fourth win of the tournament. Following the win, Bagan have 14 points from 10 matches, while ONGC, who suffered their fifth loss today, have only seven from as many matches. PTI
