Morocco’s Abdeslam Ouaddou is retiring from international football, the Nancy defender announced on Saturday.

Nancy, France: Morocco’s Abdeslam Ouaddou is retiring from international football, the Nancy defender announced on Saturday.
“I’ve made the decision to quit the international stage. It has been a very hard decision to make because I’ve been very proud and honoured to play for my country,” the 31-year-old was quoted as saying on the Nancy website. “But after having played for my national team for 12 years, I thought it was time to make way for young players,” Ouaddou added. Morocco failed to qualify for this year’s World Cup in South Africa. Bureau Report
