Brasilia: Neymar and Lucas have both expressed their delight for compatriot Oscar after his stunning performance for Chelsea in their opening Champions League encounter with Juventus on Wednesday night.
The 21-year-old popped up with two goals for his new club in the space of three minutes to put the Londoners in the driving seat as they entertained the Italian champions.
However, goals from Arturo Vidal and Fabio Quagliarella were enough for Juventus to fight back and walk away with a share of the spoils.
In what was his debut appearance in Europe`s most prestigious competition, Oscar still deservedly earned praise from many observers, including his two international team-mates, Neymar and Lucas.
"I`ve watched the match. I`m always cheering for my team-mates, so I`m very happy for Oscar, for the two goals he scored and for his fine display," Neymar was quoted by Globo.
Meanwhile, Lucas, who recently signed for Paris Saint-Germain though he will not officially make the switch until January 2013, was equally happy for the former Sao Paulo attacker.
"I`m not surprised at all, I`m very much aware of his quality. He`s a fantastic player, one of the best around in my opinion, and I`m confident he`ll help Chelsea a lot," Lucas said.
"He`s a great friend of mine and I`m very happy for his debut [in the Champions League]. I look forward to playing against him soon."
