Buenos Aires: One person was killed and three hurt when football hooligans in Argentina shot at each other Wednesday, in the latest violence to tarnish the sport in the country.
The clashes, which erupted outside Ituzaingo`s stadium west of Buenos Aires, saw the game against visiting Victoriano Arenas postponed because the tear gas drifted into the arena.
Wednesday`s fatality of a 32-year-old brings the number of football-related deaths this year to 11, according to watchdog group Let`s Save Football.
Two Argentine football fans died after being shot in a street brawl between supporters of rival fourth-tier clubs in Buenos Aires, their families said Tuesday.
The group says football violence has killed nearly 200 people in the South American country in the last four decades.
