Bruzon had positive and encouraging comments regarding his appointment.

"I have tracked Mumbai City FC closely and the club has also explained to me well the objectives, the previous methodology, the working patterns and the way forward of the club. Through my knowledge and experience, I will try to pay back all the confidence and responsibility placed in me.

"My only expectation will be to try and build, assemble and consolidate a champion team. Both Mumbai City FC and the city of Mumbai have the will and capacity to achieve it. Glad and proud to be part of this amazing project. Thanks to all the fans and family forming Mumbai City FC," Bruzon said.

Prior to managing Sporting Club de Goa, Bruzon played his professional football mainly in the 2nd La Liga of Spanish football, the 'Segunda Division', with Celta de Vigo, UD Las Palmas and Pontevedra.
