New Delhi: There was enough indications on the eve of the SAFF Championship today that Pakistan football coach Zavisa Milosavljevic and skipper Jaffar Khan are not on the same wavelength.
Immediately after Milosavljevic made his realistic expectations from the tournament public, Khan shot back giving the impression that the coach doesn`t know what he was talking about as he has been with the team for barely two weeks.
"We prepared for three weeks in Pakistan but we have no expectations from the tournament. It is going to very difficult, the level of teams is very good. The first match against Bangladesh is going to be very important. We met in the World Cup qualifiers and this is a new opportunity for players," Milosavljevic said.
Jaffar countered, "We have quite a few young players and some of them are playing in England, like Atif and Adnan. I think the coach is yet to understand the team."
Jaffar said the Pakistan Football Federation is doing a lot as far as promoting the sport is concerned in the country.
