London: French football club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG)’s sporting director Leonardo has confirmed that the club is interested in signing Manchester City’s rebel striker Carlos Tevez.
Leonardo, however, denied reports that the club has made a 21 million pound bid for Tevez, and said that have only made an enquiry.
“I spoke with the player’s agent and he told me that Carlitos preferred to go to Milan. But City wants to sell and not loan,” a leading daily quoted Leonardo, as saying.
“If they agree to loan, Tevez goes to Milan, and the case is closed. Otherwise the market is open,” he added.
Tevez is currently in his native Argentina having flown home without City’s permission a month ago.
