Pellegrini hails Aguero as third best player in world after Messi, Ronaldo
Washington: Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has bracketed his striker Sergio Aguero with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the best three players in the world.
According to CNN, Aguero was at the top of his game as Manchester City humiliated Tottenham 6-0 at the Etihad.
He contributed two goals in an all action display at the Etihad Stadium with Jesus Navas also grabbing a double, including an opener after just 14 seconds, the report said.
Aguero`s strike partner Alvaro Negredo was on the target and an own goal from Brazilian international Sandro made for an afternoon of sheer misery for Andre Villas-Boas` visitors, the report added.
It was a stunning reaffirmation of City`s title credentials and lifted them to fourth in the standings, while Tottenham on a poor recent run, dropped to ninth, according to the report.
