Real Banjul book date with African champions
Gambians Real Banjul defeated Liberians Barrack Young Controllers 1-0 at the weekend to book a CAF Champions League last-32 date with title-holders Algerians Entente Setif.
Yankuba Jarju scored the tie-winning goal on 30 minutes in Gambian capital Banjul after crisp, short passing between Ebou Sanyang and Famara Jarju created an opening.
Banjul advanced 2-1 on aggregate following a 1-1 draw at the same stadium three weeks ago in the first leg of the preliminary tie.
Controllers could not host the second leg because of ongoing Ebola virus fears and, after attempts to stage the game in Mali and Ivory Coast failed, were forced to play in Gambia.
Setif host Real this weekend with the return match scheduled for early April.
