Manchester: Manchester United’s defender, Rio Ferdinand is set to be ruled out of the Sunday’s clash against Arsenal due to the recurrence of a back problem.
The situation has also put questions over his availability for the FA cup clash against Liverpool on Saturday, Daily Star reports.
Ferdinand missed Friday’s training session after he broke down in training on Thursday with a back problem.
His absence would see either Phil Jones or Chris Smalling as a replacement.
