London: Russian club Zenit St Petersburg general director Maxim Mitrofanov has said they have put forward a loan deal in front of Arsenal for mid fielder Andrey Arshavin and its up to them to accept it or not.
“The offer has been made to Arsenal. If they give us the OK we will enter negotiations with Andrey,” The Sun quoted Mitrofanov, as saying.
The former Zenit player, Arshavin has been in and out of the Arsenal team this season and has been jeered by Arsenal supporters for under performing.
The Russian champions need to complete a loan deal before their transfer deadline closes on Friday.
