London: Ryan Giggs, after all the scandalous charges, possibly will no longer remain the ambassador of many a product he was previously associated with, only to become Britain’s version of Tiger Woods.
The 37-year-old winger has been the subject of intense speculation about his private life in recent weeks after revelation of extramarital affairs with two different women - his sister-in-law Natasha, and ‘Big Brother’ star Imogen Thomas.
As the controversy continued, marketing experts felt that Britain’s 20th richest sportsman might have to follow the path of golf star Woods, reports a newspaper.
After it emerged he had slept with several women, Woods divorced from wife Elin Nordegren and lost some sponsors. But while Woods’ career is still expected to continue, marketing experts warned Giggs’ 34 million-pound-fortune was under extreme threat as he was in the twilight of his career.
Giggs is sponsored by Reebok, reportedly for 20 million pounds, Swiss watch firms Patek Philippe, Cyma, car manufacturer Citroen and phone company Saudi Telecom.
