New Delhi: Indian badminton sensation Saina Nehwal became a member of Bengaluru FC. The 2012 Olympic bronze medallist is a big fan of the I-League champions and was presented with a jersey by club skipper Sunil Chhetri on Monday.

Saina stated that she is really happy to be a member of Bengaluru FC and thanked Chhetri for giving her the shirt. She has been given the No. 5 jersey of the team. The 24-year-old shuttler posted a photo on social micro-blogging site, Twitter.

Bengaluru FC also shared the photo on Twitter saying they have a new friend in Saina.

The I-League champions will be kick starting their campaign in January 2015 in the I-League and will also participate in the Federation Cup and the AFC Champions League. Saina will hopefully be present during some of the matches to cheer her team and see them winning.
