Sell Drogba if you want Torres in form: Ancelotti

Carlo Ancelotti believes it is important for Chelsea to sell Didier Drogba if they want Fernando Torres to start scoring.

London: Former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti believes it is important for Chelsea to sell Didier Drogba if they want Fernando Torres to start scoring.
Last year during his tenure as Chelsea manager, Ancelotti had paid 50 million pounds to shatter the transfer record to bring Torres to Stamford Bridge from Liverpool. But Torres has just scored five goals since he joined Chelsea and Ancelotti thinks Drogba is the reason behind Torres’s poot form. He also refused to comment on Chelsea’s current manager Andre Villas-Boas. “I won`t judge the work of a colleague and I`ll only say that training this Chelsea, in the middle of a great transition, is complicated,” a daily quoted Ancelotti, as saying. “Take Torres and his crisis: If you decide to invest heavily in him, you have to sell Drogba. ” He also compared Drogba’s nature to AC Milan’s striker Filippo Inzaghi. “Didier is like Filippo Inzaghi at AC Milan. He tends to devour whoever is in competition with him. It`s not maliciousness, players are made like that,” he added. Ancelotti, who is managing French club Paris St Germain, confessed his impressive career did not cut much ice with Chelsea`s superstars. “When I started at Chelsea, the two Champions League titles I`d won gave me prestige. But in the dressing room there were people who already had medals: John Terry, Frank Lampard and Drogba,” he added. ANI
