London: Manchester City talisman Yaya Toure believes that his teammate Sergio Aguero is up there with Barcelona star Lionel Messi as one of the world's best players.
Aguero has made an explosive start to the season, with 12 goals in 14 appearances this season, including nine in his last eight games.
Toure played at Barca with four-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi, who has elevated the modern game to new heights along with Cristiano Ronaldo, The Mirror reported.
City boss Manuel Pellegrini believes that Aguero has what it takes to stand alongside Messi and Ronaldo if the injury-plagued striker can stay fit for the rest of his career.
Toure said that it was hard for him to choose between Messi and Aguero, but suggested that his current teammate could soon be in the same bracket as his former one.
Toure said that he has been able to play with Messi but now he is able to play with Aguero, adding that the Argentine is a fantastic striker.
He said that if he has to choose one of them it's quite difficult, adding that Messi is one of the best in the world, definitely, but Aguero as well is strong, clever, he's fast.
Toure said that both strikers are fantastic and he really enjoyed playing with Messi and now playing with Aguero.
