Panaji: Sesa Football Academy will be
looking to carry on their good work in the qualifying round,
when they take on Chirag United on Tuesday in their
quarter-finals league of the Federation Cup, at Tilak Maidan,
Vasco.
Sesa, who improved after every outing beat Vasco and
Sporting Clube de Goa in the qualifying stage to qualify for
the quarter-finals league.
Their gritty performance against Sporting Clube de Goa
which they won via tie-breaker and home ground gives they
advantage over their rivals.
Sesa`s coach Clifford Chukwuma is pleased the way his
boys have performed so far.
Tomorrow will another challenge before us and I am sure
my boys will do well and come out victors.
The Kolkata side with four foreigners are a strong side
where our defenders have to defend stoutly to keep away the
challenge of the rival foreigners who will be looking to start
their season campaign on a winning note.
"My only worry is that our boys should convert the
chances that come their way," said Chukwuma.
Chirag United who finished eight in the last edition of
the I-League has come without their Captain Arnab Mondal who
is nursing an injury.
Goalkeeper Somnath Khara has been given the
responsibility to lead the team in his absence.
The Kolkata team made an early exit from the tournament
in the last edition at Guwahati.
