Shevchenko set for retirement U-turn

London: AC Milan and Ukraine legend Andriy Shevchenko could be tempted out of retirement by an Indonesian Super League team, according to the club`s coach.

The 36-year-old called time on an illustrious playing career in June after Ukraine`s exit from Euro 2012 last summer. However, Mitra Kukar are reportedly keen on the former Ballon d`Or winner and boss Roni Fauzan has confirmed the club`s interest. "Obviously we are interested in Shevchenko," he told reporters. "We are in negotiations, but we have to continue to talk about economics. We would like to sign him for 10 games. "Regarding a salary – I`m sure we can find the money to bring him here." Since retiring, the former Chelsea forward has pursued a career in politics and more recently had declined the opportunity to take charge of the Ukraine national team.
