New Delhi: Defending I-League champions Bengaluru FC, found some much needed support from sports-personalities rooting for the team as they take on Demps SC on Saturday in the opening fixture of the season.
Several India sports celebrities who hail from Banagalore, urged the team to go all out and wished the team success. Tennis star Rohan Bopanna, squash ace Dipika Pallikal and badminton sensation Ashwini Ponappa, showed their support for the 'Boys in Blue'.

Ponappa also showed her support stating that she is waiting to watch the team play.
The Federation Cup champions face Goan side Dempo SC in an enthralling clash at home. Bengaluru FC beat Dempo in the Fed Cup final earlier this month, and will be aware of a backlash from the former I-League champions.
Considered as the most sorted club in the I-League, Bengaluru FC will expect a lively stadium on Saturday and will hope to get off to a winning start against their formidable opponents. Bengaluru FC players Sunil Chhetri and Sean Rooney were excited to start the season in their backyard.
