New Delhi: Three bidders have sent their proposals to All India Football Federation for the telecast rights of the I-League and a final decision is expected in the next few days.

"We have received proposals for invitations of telecast rights but a decision will be taken after review by the (AIFF) finance committee and the rights holder," said AIFF general secretary Kushal Das.

It is learnt two Kolkata channels -- Kolkata TV and Channel 10 -- have made a joint proposal while 24 Ghanta and another one from the same city have also sent their bids for the telecast rights of the 2010-2011 I-League season.

24 Ghanta of Kolkata will telecast Wednesday`s Super Cup match between I-League champions Dempo and Federation Cup winners East Bengal.

Asked about the scrapping of deal with Zee Sports and the compensation the channel had asked from the AIFF, Das said,”We are trying to complete everything by the end of this week."

The AIFF recently terminated its USD 70 million 10-year deal with Zee four years ahead of its expiry. The deal was to run till 2014, but it had a clause to review it after five years.

It is believed that delayed payments, lack of enough publicity and bad coverage are some of the reasons which forced the AIFF to terminate the contract with Zee, for which the federation is likely to pay a whopping sum amounting to crores of rupees to the sports channel.
