Manchester: Javier Hernandez has predicted that Fernando Torres’s form will continue to elude him when Manchester United and Chelsea clash at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The Mexican, however, praised the Spaniard’s ability with the ball but also cautioned on his goalless League run since September.
“Fernando Torres is one of the best forwards in Europe, without doubt. But he suffers a bad record in front of goal and I predict that the Spaniard will not score against United this Sunday either.” Hernandez was quoted as saying by Daily Star on Saturday.
The striker acknowledges the importance of the clash at Stamford Bridge on Sunday since United haven’t won a fixture there since 2002.
“Every little slip will have an effect on the title race at the moment so this match against Chelsea is very important.”
“The one thing now is that we can focus totally on the league and that is what we want to win. The manager is very serious about us winning the title and considers it to be a mental question because every week is a big race, and he knows that this club has shown the right character in the past to win.” he was quoted as saying.
