New Delhi: Luis Enrique has declared that Barcelona will not sit idle after winning a continental treble last season, and their target is to win six straight titles.
Enrique, who confirmed his stay at Camp Nou after much deliberation, made his first press appearance of the new season at the club's training ground Ciutat Esportiva.
“We will put in a great [effort] as long as everyone in the squad is efficient. The objective is to repeat the success [of last season],” the Asturian was quoted by FCBarcelona.com.
The former midfielder then added, “The treble is now in the past, now we are interested in six trophies.”
In an extra-ordinary first season as the manager, the 45-year-old helped Barcelona to their second continental treble - winning La Liga, EUFA Champions Trophy and Copa del Rey.
The Catalan giants first achieved the feat during the all-conquering reign of Pep Gauardiola, in 2009.
