Jamshedpur: A dispute over the affiliation of Tripura`s football team led to the suspension of two matches in the 34th National Games here on Monday.
The matches between Jharkhand and Tamil Nadu and Haryana and Orissa were suspended after it came to light that the Tripura team, which has come for the event, is not affiliated to the All India Football Federation.
The organizers then decided to suspend the matches to ensure that the Games` scheduling is not affected.
The organizers are currently huddled in a meeting to work
out a solution.
