Louis van Gaal arrived at the Manchester United training ground for the first time Wednesday. The 62-year-old, who handled the Netherlands national team at the recent World Cup in Brazil, met players and staff. The Dutchman was appointed as the Red Devils manager in May after the sacking of David Moyes. But he has been in Brazil guiding Holland to a third-placed finish at the tournament. His first game as the Manchester United boss will be against Los Angeles Galaxy on July 23 in Pasadena. Then, they will play Italian sides, AS Roma and Inter Milan then Real Madrid during the pre-season USA tour. Regarded as one of the best managers, Van Gaal has won titles with Ajax, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and AZ Alkmaar. Old Trafford legend, Ryan Giggs, who took over the reigns after Moyes` departure will work as the assistant to Van Gaal.
