Panaji: Vasco will look to start their season on a bright note when they take on Sesa Football Academy in the preliminary qualifying knock-out round of the Federation Cup tomorrow at Tilak Stadium in Vasco.
The match, which was originally scheduled at Duler Stadium, Mapusa, had to be shifted at Tilak Stadium because of unplayable condition of the ground caused by heavy rains.
Despite featuring in a couple of competitive matches, both the teams are going into the tournament without much match practice.
Regardless of the situation, Vasco`s coach Gavin Araujo believes that his players are mentally prepared for tomorrow`s Group B encounter.
"We have been in the pre-season training for a long time, and I have a young squad mixed with experienced players, who just want to go out there and play," Araujo said.
Sesa Academy coach Clifford Chukuwuma said his young team will give its best tomorrow.
"We could not get the pre-season training camp right because of the rain but I have motivated them to give their best. Hopefully they will give their best tomorrow to emerge as winners," Chukuwuma said.
