Venky’s owned Blackburn may have to pay whopping £2m to sacked manager
London: Indian-owned club Blackburn Rovers may have to pay a staggering two million pounds to sacked manager Henning Berg, who was in charge for only ten games and had delivered just a single victory to the club.

The Norwegian, who was a title-winning player with Rovers in the 1990s, was axed from his managerial role in December 2012 after just 57 days as he had managed to deliver only one win in a miserable spell at the troubled Championship outfit. However under his contract at the club, Berg may be entitled to as much as three years` wages and potential bonuses and looks to net the full two million pounds, which works out at 36,000 pounds-a-day and 200,000 pounds-a-game.

The club’s owners Venky`s, who wanted Berg to be appointed on a one-year contract, are said to be furious about this latest bill they have got to pay after their disastrous reign kept on bringing up worrying financial penalties. Berg has brought in the League Managers Association to fight his case while Rovers have also fired a trouble-shooting lawyer to go through the paperwork.
