Wenger wants Arsenal to ‘man up’ against Man United

London: Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes it’s time for his team to wake up in order to avoid a third straight loss after suffering defeats at the hand of Fulham and Swansea.

The Gunners would now face the Red Devils at the Emirates on Sunday and Wenger thinks it’s the right time for team to wake up. “It is time for us to wake up and be focused. We have a good opportunity to do that against United,” said Wenger.

Wenger also said that it was a big chance for his team to regain its confidence especially after the manner in which they lost at Fulham and Swansea, The Sun reports.

“It is a massive opportunity because you feel we have given six points away in the last two games in a way that is unbelievable.”

“At our level that is frustrating and not good enough. It is down to a lack of composure and the right decision-making.” “It is alarming because at Fulham we were 1-0 up and we lost. At Swansea we came back to 2-2 and straight away we gave the third goal away,” he added.

Wenger was speaking before Arsenal’s match against Manchester United on Sunday. Arsenal was humiliated 8-2 at Old Trafford earlier in August.
