Werner wants Suarez to fulfill Champions League ambitions at Liverpool

London: Liverpool chairman Tom Werner has said that he wants striker Luis Suarez to fulfill his Champions League ambitions with the same club and he got a kick out of the fact that the player came out on to the pitch before kick-off, with his baby and his daughter.

According to the Mirror, Werner expressed happiness in the fact that Suarez shook hands with all the officials and the other players carrying his baby, adding that it was the side of the player he knew, as the loving parent.

Werner said that there was an interest in him from other clubs throughout the summer but it was important for them to try to keep him.

He said that Suarez was one of the great players of the world and Liverpool as a club felt that they would be stronger with him than without him, adding that it did not mean that he did not respect the player`s intense desire to play in the Champions League.
