Won`t play for another English club: Drogba
London: A day after announcing that he would be leaving Chelsea at the end of the summer, Ivorian striker Didier Drogba Wednesday said he would never play for another English club besides the Blues.

Drogba`s last kick for Chelsea came in the penalty shootout where he scored the all-crucial fifth penalty against Bayern Munich Saturday that gave the Blues their first ever Champions League trophy.

The 34-year-old has spent eight years at Chelsea, scoring 157 goals in 341 appearances and helped Chelsea win three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, two Carling Cups and a Champions League.

"No, I wont play for another English club. I owe too much allegiance to Chelsea. My blood is blue. I am too much attached to Chelsea. My blood is blue! I won`t change," Drogba was quoted as saying by the Mirror.

The Ivorian said he would have stayed on with the club had they not won the European club trophy.

"I would have stayed if we hadn`t won the Champions League. That was my challenge, what I wanted to achieve. The Boss (Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich) gave so much for this club, has done so much.

"Everybody speaks about buying players, expensive players but nobody speaks about the facilities at Cobham. We have one of the best in the world, to improve the Academy. He (Abramovich) is really trying to develop this club, not that it wasn`t a big club, an ambitious club before. But as players, we always try to improve, try to do this for the club."
