Germany, Brazil and Argentina are three teams that have made it to the semi-finals. Who will join them?

Welcome to our coverage of the last quarterfinal of the 2014 FIFA World Cup between Netherlands and Costa Rica at Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador.

The winner of this match will take on Argentina in the semi-final. Costa Rica have been the giant killers of this edition. After managing to win the Group of Death, Costa Rica beat Greece on penalties in the Round of 16. Netherlands breezed past the group stage but struggled to beat Mexico in the Round of 16. Robben won a contentious penalty that helped them stage a comeback win to reach the quarters.

Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben will be the biggest threats to Costa Rica. Even their head coach had asked FIFA to keep a watch on Robben who has a tendency to go down theatrically. The mind games have begun. Bryan Ruiz and Joel Campbell have been impressive for Costa Rica so far, but Louis van Gaal will know that their biggest strength is team-work and relentless work ethic.

Costa Rica wil be the Dutch a real fight for their money. Majority of the knockout games have been really close and this one is expected to take the same route.
