Against Croatia, Neymar`s first goal was a screamer. With a sublime low shot that crept into the net from 25 yards, Neymar showed his class. The celebration spoke in volumes and justified Neymar`s start to the World Cup saying he is out to deliver the goods. His second goal, 19 minutes before the end, was altogether more controversial. He converted a penalty to put Brazil ahead and take his tally to 33 goals in 50 international appearances.

After the victory, Neymar stated that he is happier than he had ever dreamt about. "I think I am happier than I ever dreamt, to start with a victory in the World Cup such as this," he said.
