Barcelona: Barcelona’s Dutch icon, Johan Cruyff, has slammed the Catalan football giants for signing Uruguayan Luis Suarez, adding that the former Liverpool striker would further push Barcelona to abandon the team play that distinguished it over the recent years.
Writing in his column for De Telegraaf, Cruyff said that he does not understand how individual talent like Suarez will help the team`s collective play style which the Catalans achieved under Pep Guardiola and previously Frank Rijkaard, reports Efe.
He added that he did not know how Barcelona plans to play with Messi, Neymar and Suarez in one team who are all players who rely on their individual actions.
About the World Cup, Cruyff praised Germany after winning the World Cup, adding that the Germans played the best football and proved that attractive football can succeed in achieving big victories.
