Zee Media Bureau/Dattaraj Thaly

Brazil were held to a frustrating goalless draw by Mexico, largely thanks to the heroics of their goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa. The Mexicans defended resolutely and did not give Neymar and co. too many chances. Guillermo Ochoa was deservedly adjudged the man of the match.

The NO HULK for Brazil!

Brazil: Julio Cesar; Alves, Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Marcelo; Gustavo, Paulinho, Ramires, Oscar, Neymar, Fred

Mexico: Ochoa, Rodriguez, Marquez, Moreno, Layun, Aguilar, Herrera, Vazquez, Guardado, Peralta, Dos Santos

Welcome to our coverage of the big match today. In a Group A clash, hosts and hot favorites Brazil take on Mexico at the Estadio Castelao in Fortaleza.

The biggest news in the build up to this match has been the injury to Hulk. The powerful forward withdrew from the team training two days before. Brazil coach, Luiz Felipe Scolari has kept everyone guessing with regards to the fitness of the Zenith St Petersburg striker. If Hulk misses out, Ramires is expected to take his place in the starting line-up.

As both teams have won their first match, a win for either side would guarantee them a place in the next round if the other two teams in the group play out a draw. if Neymar gets a yellow card, he will miss Brazil`s last group game.

Mexico are a disciplined side and won`t be fazed by the big occasion. They have beaten Brazil many times before including in the 2012 London Olympics final. They will look to crowd out the midfield and catch the home side on the counter.
