Teammates, coaches take pressure off Brazilian star Neymar
Johannesburg: Brazil coaches and teammates have said that Neymar should not be the only one expected to play well and lead the hosts to the World Cup title as they try to take some of the pressure off their forward at the Word Cup.
Manager Luiz Felipe Scolari said that Neymar cannot win by himself and cannot lose by himself, adding that he is part of the group.
According to Sport24, Scolari said that at times the forward will show that he can be greater than other players and they all know that, but Neymar is part of a group, adding that he wins with the group and loses with the group.
The Barcelona forward has been Brazil`s leader on the field since Scolari began preparing the team for the home World Cup, and has also led the hosts to the title in last year`s warm-up tournament, the Confederations Cup .
Brazil defender David Luiz said that Neymar is a great player, adding that the forward brought back the magic of the Brazilian player and is letting them dream about having a Brazilian as the best player in the world again.
However, Luiz said that Neymar knows that it is not only up to him to do well and he does not have to carry the responsibility of deciding every match by himself, of being the best player in every match, of scoring goals in every match, of playing well in every match.
